This is a story about a bunch a girls and bunch of guys in high school. It is about friendships and relationships that the group develops in the last year of high school. Will these relationships last a lifetime or are they just something that will get weaker with the ebb of time?

The school, the characters study in is old fashioned. Classes are divided based on gender. The boys and girls spend most of the time separately and their interaction with each other is limited to lunch or study time in the courtyard when they can gather. A lot of the characters can be rude and are unfamiliar in how to deal with their feelings on seeing and interacting with opposite sex.

Authors note: As an author it seems silly that schools like this exist in our modern time. If fact most people might consider is unfathomable that currently schools still separate children based on gender. Imagine the school to be in a conservative country and in the 1990s.

The story will be written as dialogue between characters. I like screenplay sort of writing so I chose this was to deliver the story.

In 12^th grade girls classroom

Arina: Boy, another boring day. Why can’t we for once have an interesting day? Seriously doing this everyday is a drag.

Mayumi: Don’t say that. You were able to answer those questions for chemistry. The teacher was impressed.

Arina: No, it really wasn’t anything. I am sure if the teach asked Saya, she would have answered as well. After all she did raise her hand. He should have just asked her. To me it looks like he likes bothering me.

Jerusha: Don’t say that. You know you are our chemistry teacher’s favorite student? I am so honored to know such a popular person.

Arina(smacks Jerusha): Stop joking around. I am horrible at calculus and physics so it really is nothing. Besides Lagan sir says that being better at math is more important and I agree with him.

Mayumi: Why can’t you just be content? You are not a bad student. Lets hurry to the courtyard, we have to finish our homework for tomorrow.

Arina: You seem to be in hurry? Why do you wish to hurry there? Perhaps a fated meeting with your admirers, eh? Hmm?

Mayumi: What?! No way! I have to study. My Dad wouldn’t want me to waste my time with boys.

Jerusha: Say what you want Yumi, you have too many admirers even if you are unaware.

Mayumi: What? No way. Don’t make fun of me.

Arina: Really, it’s better you don’t know. But why are you blushing so red?!

Mayumi: I am embarrassed. Don’t make fun of me.

Saya, Sana and Reira(Rei) enter the scene.

Saya: Hurry up you guys. There are a ton of questions I want to ask Han.

Reira: Why do you have to speak to that lameass? I am sure we can solve it on our own.

Sana: Rei, you, sure are jealous. Really calm down!

Arina: Jealous, you say? Is it because Saya and you Sana will be bothering Han or because he is better at physics than Rei, that everyone asks him questions and not Rei?

Rei: Shut up. Why do I have to be jealous of that guy?

Sana: Yup, definitely jealous that we can talk to him normally while she blushes in the corner.and Rei argues with him his answer is wrong even when she knows he is right.

Rei: What?! why would I like that lameass?

Sana: Who said you liked him?

Saya: Are you admitting things to us Rei? You are braver than I thought.

Arina: Hey, just finish what business you have with Han quickly so then Rei doesn’t need to be jealous for long.

Rei: Hey Arina, are you also picking on me? I thought we were pals

Mayumi: Arina and Rei, you 2 are so alike. Boys fear you and girls admire you.

Arina: The girls admire Rei and boys fear me. Hmm, I think it’s a compliment?

Saya: They think you look down on them, which I think you do.

Sana: I agree. They will be nice to you Arina if you are to them.

Arina: I could care less if they are nice and kind to me.

Rei: Here, here!

Mayumi: Really our school’s guys are much better than other schools guys. Don’t diss them so much.

Sana: Yeah, yeah go Mayumi! Say, so which guy will come up to you today and greet you?

Rei: Well, whoever he is better not waste our time for long.

Saya: Our great big boss teach knows how to put the boys in their place if they misbehave.

So, they don’t behave that bad anymore.

Arina: Even if they don’t, doesn’t mean we get careless. Those boys think flirting and complimenting girls is one of their favorite pass time in school. Aren’t we all here to study and get a competitive edge to apply for colleges?

Really, I think we might need another tournament.

Rei: I agree. Another tournament sounds splendid. But we have exams coming up so, we will have to do it later.

Arina: Hmm, yeah.

Saya: Shall we get going then?

Everyone: Yes

Arina: Jerusha, aren’t you coming?

Jerusha: Later!

Arina: Ok. See you later then.
